Frequently asked questions
What do you sell: cakes, cupcakes or both?
Both. We make artisan cupcakes in boxes of 6 ($250 MXN; Cupcake Alemán $360 MXN), cakes in a can at $70 MXN, individual desserts and custom cakes made to order for birthdays and celebrations. Custom cakes are quoted by number of people, flavor and design.
How much does a custom cake cost?
Custom cakes start at $750 MXN for 10 to 12 people. It depends on the number of people, the flavor and the design. Message us on WhatsApp with the date, how many people and your idea, and we send the quote the same day.
Do you deliver, and how much is it?
We deliver to homes, hotels and villas in Playa del Carmen, Cancún, Tulum, Puerto Morelos, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and the area in between, or arrange pickup at an agreed public meeting point. The delivery fee depends on the size of the order and the distance; we confirm it on WhatsApp.
How far ahead do I need to order?
At least 5 days ahead for cupcakes, desserts, custom cakes and event orders — the more notice, the better. Everything is baked the same day it is delivered. Need it sooner or looking for last-minute customization? Message us on WhatsApp to check availability.
Do you answer WhatsApp in English?
Yes. Message us at +52 984 424 4772 in English or Spanish and we will take care of your order.
What allergens do your products contain?
They contain sugar, gluten, eggs and dairy. All products are made with the highest quality ingredients in a kitchen that also handles these ingredients.
Is there a minimum order, and which days do you deliver to Cancún and Tulum?
Individual desserts, cupcakes and individual cookies: at least 6 pieces of the same design. Sets are sold complete, and the number of pieces depends on the set. Sets and custom cookies are quoted on WhatsApp. We deliver to Tulum on Wednesdays and to Cancún on Thursdays; larger orders can be quoted for another day. Meetup handoffs have a 15-minute grace period.
How do I pay?
We accept cash and card. To reserve your order we ask for a 50% deposit; cancellation terms are confirmed with your quote; the rest is paid on delivery or pick-up. All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN).
Why is it called Bumblebee Cookies if you sell cakes and cupcakes?
Bumblebee Cookies was born in 2021 as a home bakery in Playa del Carmen and the name stuck. Today our specialties are custom cakes and artisan cupcakes.
